Responsibilities:
– Provide individualised instruction and support to students with special needs
– Implement and monitor intervention strategies to address academic and behavioural goals
– Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs)
– Assess student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed
– Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a positive learning environment
– Provide tutoring and support in various subject areas, including literacy education
– Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and social skills development
– Support students in their overall childhood development, including social, emotional, and cognitive growth
– Utilize classroom technology and learning management systems (LMS) to enhance instruction
Skills:
– Strong knowledge of special education principles and practices
– Experience in providing individualised instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs
– Proficiency in behavior management techniques and strategies
– Knowledge of literacy education methods and strategies
– Familiarity with childhood development stages and milestones
– Ability to effectively manage a classroom environment
– Experience with utilising learning management systems (LMS) for instructional purposes
– Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals
– Previous experience in childcare or library services is a plus
