The experience needed for allied health professionals on contract assignments with United Staff Group varies by the role and the needs of the facility where the assignment is. We work with allied professionals in all stages of their careers. We’re here to help you succeed throughout your entire career, whether you are just starting or have many years of experience. In most cases, allied health jobs require licensure and certification in the area where you plan to practice. Feel free to connect with our team if you have questions about licensure and certification or any other allied health requirements.
Yes, your dedicated hiring manager is always just a call or text away. We provide consistent support throughout your assignment and offer ongoing guidance throughout your career at United Staff Group. If you encounter any problems or have questions, your hiring manager is available to help.
You don’t have to be committed to us just because you apply for one of our allied healthcare jobs. Submitting your allied health application simply opens the door for communication between you and a hiring manager, which is your opportunity to discuss your experience and hear about available positions—all without obligation. When you formally accept the job, that’s when you begin your commitment to us.
Nope! We don’t charge you any fees for our allied health career and job search support.
Not all travel and contract allied health jobs are the same. The assignment length is typically 13 weeks, but this can vary based on what you are looking for in an allied role as well as what the healthcare facility needs. In addition, you may have opportunities to extend the length of your assignment or find another nearby job opening.
We know that it can be overwhelming to look for allied health jobs without being a licensed allied health professional in the state you’re interested in. We’ve been working with travel healthcare professionals for over 30 years, so we understand the process and can help guide you toward the next steps in getting to work in the state you want to be in. Often, this includes directing you to the appropriate allied health professional boards and going over timelines to help you know when you’ll be ready to explore your next destination.
When you apply for a job with us, we'll chat with you to assess your skills, certifications, and personal preferences. We do this to help you find a placement that is fulfilling to you and one that allows you to impact the lives of patients who need you. Upon finding a position that matches your needs, we can submit you to the facility manager as a candidate for the allied health job opening. After reviewing your information and conducting a phone or video call interview, the facility manager will let us know if they'd like to extend you an offer. If so, we'll let you know if there's an offer after the interview. You can then choose whether or not to accept it.
The onboarding process will begin after you accept a contract allied health position with United Staff Group. Your hiring manager will send you the necessary paperwork and verify that you meet all the requirements for licensure and certification. It is important to us that we meet compliance standards, so you will not be able to begin work until your documentation is complete. If you have questions about your job, please contact your hiring manager.
Yes! We often have opportunities for you to extend your current assignment after the initial assignment is completed. This opportunity is driven by the needs of the facility you’re working in, so it’s not guaranteed. But, what is guaranteed is that whether you are looking to extend your current assignment or looking for a new job, we will be your advocate through the process and help you find the next stop in your career.
